RGB Custom Builders is certified as an Energy Star Partner. After stringent testing, a Certified Home Energy Rater stated that he was “pleasantly surprised at the level of energy efficiency that RGB’s homes demonstrated” and that we scored well above the average new homes and well above the minimum score required to become an Energy Star Partner. We are currently one of a very few builders in the Pocono area that qualify for this Partnership.

ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy formed with the goal to help save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices.

In order to qualify, our homes must be more energy efficient than homes built to 2006 International Residential Code.  As a result, you, the new home owner, should you choose to build an Energy Star Home, will benefit from lower heating and cooling costs and better protection against cold, heat, drafts, moisture, pollution, and noise.  Your appliances will be more energy-efficient and your home will have reduced pollution for improved indoor air quality and comfort.
